3. [my memory is fickle; this one i won't forget]

  i always thought that we
  were clockwork;
  spiral springs and gears
  working constantly
  in biological
  binary-coded mechanisms

(and every thing's covered
  in rust, i shouldn't
  have stood outside
  in the rain
  for so long

  but nothing else
  could remind me
  of what it felt like
  to be forgotten)-
